If you are having trouble getting pregnant you aren’t alone. It seems more and more couples these days are having a difficult time getting pregnant. Or maybe people are just out there talking about it more. Whatever the case may be, if this sounds like you, you may be looking for ways to get pregnant faster.
When you want a baby so bad and it isn’t happening, it’s probably the most disappointing and heartbreaking feeling in the world. And you probably feel pretty alone. It seems everyone around you is getting pregnant or has kids of their own.
And don’t get me started on the questions. “When are you gonna have a baby?” “What are you waiting for?” “Why haven’t you gotten pregnant yet?” I’m sure your friends and family have good intentions, but it’s hard to even come up with the answers sometimes.
But I’m here to tell you that it’s more common than you think and you aren’t alone. I was in your same boat. We struggled for several years to get pregnant. Month after month, we were disappointed when the tests would come back negative.
So, after two years of trying and one miscarriage, I decided we needed some help. I talked with my doctor and he ran some tests, and basically told me it would be nearly impossible to get pregnant on our own. He referred me to a reproductive specialist.
But I wasn’t giving up so easily. I started looking into products that might make it a little easier. And on the morning of my first appointment with the reproductive specialist, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. To say we were overjoyed would be an understatement. I can’t even put into words the emotions we felt.
These are the things I used to help us get pregnant faster.

Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test
Keeping track of your period and when you ovulate is really important. That way you know when your best chance of getting pregnant is. You want to know when you will be ovulating so you can start trying a few days before. The best way to do that is by using an ovulation test. An ovulation test lets you know when your most fertile days are. It detects levels of different hormones and lets you know a few days before you should be ovulating. These are the days you should be trying to conceive.
I liked using the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test. I preferred this digital test as opposed to tests that just show you a line because those tests are so hard to read. Is there a line? Is there no line? I don’t know. I’d rather have a big smiley face pop up so there’s no guessing involved. Find it at your local store or get it online.
Lubricant can help relieve dryness but this one is specially made for couples trying to conceive. This is a “sperm-friendly” lubricant and is similar to a woman’s natural cervical fluids. Preseed lubricant won’t harm sperm as other lubricants can.
It actually helps sperm swim naturally so they can make it to their target– the egg! You can find it at your local Target, Walmart, or drugstore. Or you can buy it online.
Ovia Fertility: Ovulation and Period Tracker App
I think this app was a total gamechanger and a Godsend for us. To my surprise, I got pregnant the second month I used it! It was unbelievable, but it finally happened for us. You can download it onto your phone to start keeping track of your basal body temperature, cervical fluid, and position.
It also gives you a daily fertility score and a range of days to try and conceive. It can even keep track of women with irregular periods. According to their website “Women who use Ovia get pregnant up to 3x faster than the national average.” Why not give it a try? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play.
If you are in the same boat and struggling to get pregnant, don’t give up! I know how hard and frustrating it can be. Do your research and find what works best for you and your partner. Check with your doctor and have your partner checked as well. Give one or all of these ideas a try and see what works for you.
